Taffy’s eyes widened as a small, mischievous creature appeared from the mist. The Sugar Gremlin was a tiny, candy like creature with sticky fingers and a sly grin. He was made of half-melted sugar and dark caramel, his eyes sparkled with mischief. “Why would you steal the sweetness?” Taffy asked, her voice filled with sadness. “This island needs its magic. It was a crisp October day, I woke up to the other dogs whining as the shelter workers let us all out of our kennels. Yes! Freedom! I ran so fast to the playroom to play with my friends!
