However, the constant temptation is unpleasant, so Chomper Rex ultimately decides that he should find a position that is a better fit for him. His story teaches that while self control is important, so is finding the right environment where we are most likely to thrive.

The true abolition of slavery was achieved when the Thirteenth Amendment was ratified on December 6, 1865.
