“The Kind Monster” tells the story of Huggles, a big, furry monster with a kind heart who lives in the Misty Meadow. Despite his gentle nature, the animals fear him because of his large size and sharp teeth. Huggles longs to make friends but is constantly shunned. One day, he saves a mouse from a thorn bush, catches a bird's nest in a storm, and helps a fox stuck in a hole, showing the animals his kindness. Gradually, they realize Huggles is not scary but kind-hearted. Huggles and the animals become friends, playing together and helping each other. In a storm, Huggles even shelters the animals, proving that kindness is more important than appearance. The animals learn to embrace him and share his kindness with others, with the story ending on a message that kindness is about the good you do, not how you look.

The young black boy who is in school often forgets his library book when he leaves home. Therefore, the librarian collaborates with him on constructing a library ladybug using a red bottle cap, googly eyes, and a pipe cleaner. Their aim is to put the ladybug on his nightstand to serve as a reminder for him to bring his library book to school.

Emma lives in Scarborough with her single mother. They live in an apartment building. Her mom does 2 jobs to make ends meet, however with high rent and cost of living, theyhardly have enough money for food. So one day, along with her mom, Emma goes to the local foodbank that is run by Feed Scarborough. At the foodbank, while Emma was waiting in one corner reading some fun books, while her mom was shopping at the foodbank, Emma saw a racoon walking around, playing with an apple. Emma started talking with the Racoon. Racoon told Emma that his name is Dignity, and the apple is his friend, named Hope. Dignity told emma all about food insecurity in our community and that she is not the only one who comes to the foodbank. Feed Scarborough's foodbanks are set up like a grocery store, so her mom can pick and choose the food that Emma likes. Dignity also told Emma about so many children, who are not having enough food to eat nowadays as times are tough. Dignity told Emma that better days are coming soon as Toronto's Mayor and Canada's Prime Minister is working together to have better food in school so no children need to study in empty stomach. As dignity was telling Emma these stories, suddenly Emma heard her Mom's voice, calling out to her. As she turned towards the door, she saw her mom asking her to come with her so they can leave the foodbank. As Emma turned back, Dignity and Hope was nowhere to be seen. Was Dignity and Hope real? Were they really there telling Emma the story or were they franction of her imagination, as on the wall, there was a poster of Dignity and Hope (which are the mascots of Feed Scarborough.

I love my tablet. I love playing games and watching videos. I love it so much I take it everywhere and use it all the time. My mummy does not like my tablet. She thinks I use it too much. She only thinks that because she never had a tablet when she was young. Today, I went to use my tablet and the power turned off. I couldn’t play any games. I couldn’t watch any videos, and my tablet was dying. What in the world am I to do? I’ll die of boredom for sure. Five minutes without my tablet and I was pacing the floor. I just don’t know what to do. Mummy walks by, and simply says “Go outside.” Go OUTSIDE? Is she out of her mind? I’ll get itchy, and dirty. And it’s SO HOT! No way. I can’t do that. Mummy starts to go on and on about how she would play when she was young but that doesn’t change my mind at all. Besides, she has so much to say about how she used to play but I don’t see her going outside. “Come,” She said. “Let me show you what it was like in the good ole’ days.” Mummy took me outside and my skin started to melt off my bones. The grass was already pricking my skin, and a rock rolled right into my Crocs. Mummy didn’t mind any of my cries, and started to show us all the joys of her old life. That day, we climbed the mango tree until my sister Jana scraped her knee. We played hopscotch on the concrete using rocks to draw on the street. Daddy taught us how to shoot marbles in the dirt. Johnny lost and was very hurt. We made mud-pies and fed them to all the guys. We spinned and sang to the beat of our own drum, There’s a brown girl in the ring. Sha-la-la-la-la. There’s a brown girl in the ring sha-la-la-la-la. There’s a brown girl in the ring sha-la-la-la-la. And she looks like a sugar and a plum, plum, PLUM. So soon, it was time to go inside. Mummy picked the prickles off of my pants as I tried not to cry. The power was back on, but it was not as fun. Mummy was really right about them good ole’ days.

GIULIANO aiuta le vittime di bullismo a reagire con gentilezza e a guardare il mondo con fiducia, ad accrescere la propria autostima. Purtroppo prima di Natale, un giorno, a causa di incomprensioni su una chat di messaggistica, scoppia una lite tra due alunne della scuola, tra Carla e Sofia e il Preside vorrebbe sospendere lo sportello di ascolto psicologico anche perchè i fondi ministeriali stanno per finire . I due alunni coinvolti nella lite, dopo essere stati aiutati dallo psicologo Giuliano a riflettere sul loro comportamento, vanno dal Preside per chiedere scusa. Grazie alla donazione di un benefattore il progetto di ascolto viene finanziato fino alla fine dell'anno scolastico. Come simbolo di serenità e unione nel cortile della scuola viene collocata la "panchina viola della gentilezza" per tutto il personale della scuola.

God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it, or you will die.’” Satan wanted Adam and Eve to choose to do what they wanted to do instead of obeying God. The snake (Satan) said, “No. God knows that when you eat the fruit, you will be like Him, knowing good and bad.”
