The Talking Toy In the small, snowy town of Everpine, Meghan and her friends—Lila, Sam, and Benny—were playing near the park when Meghan spotted something under a bench. It was a small, colorful toy, with red and green stripes and a button in the center. When Meghan pressed it, a soft jingle played, followed by a faint voice: “Help…find…” “Open it!” Sam urged. They wandered the snowy streets, putting up posters and asking neighbors, shopkeepers, and passersby. “Anyone lose a toy?” Benny would ask, holding it up. No one recognized it. By the fourth day, hope dwindled, but Meghan refused to give up. The Grumpy Shopkeeper Outside Suthie’s General Store, the kids hesitated. Mr. Suthie had a reputation for being mean. “We shouldn’t go here,” Sam whispered. “Every place counts,” Meghan said, her voice firm. When Meghan approached the shop’s bulletin board, the door creaked open, and Mr. Suthie appeared. “What are you kids doing?” he barked. Meghan explained nervously. Mr. Suthie frowned but surprised them by saying, “Put it up. Make it neat.” “You’re doing a good thing,” he added, his voice softening. “People don’t care about small things anymore.” The kids were speechless but thanked him before moving on. Finding Ethan Days later, outside the town’s church, they saw a boy staring at the Christmas rehearsal through frosty glass. They found a company that wasn't too far from their home. 5. They found out it would cost about $200 per person and would last about an hour. John Jr and Nazut went back and told John Jr's parents and his mom made the reservations. 6. The long awaited day for the hot air balloon arrived and it was beautifully clear. As the pilot inflates the balloon, John Jr and Nazut can feel the heat from the burners and hear them roar. Once balloon was upright everyone boarded the super size basket. The take off was slow. John Jr and Nazut felt a breeze everytime they went to a new altitude. 6. John Jr and Nazut feel weightless as they glide through the air with the wind, traveling at speeds of five to six miles per hour. The 360 degree view was spectacular. Everything below looked so tiny. As the end of the ride approached, John Jr and Nazut thanked the pilot for "a magical experience that' was peaceful, exhilarating, and gentle." 7. The pilot had to keep using the burners to get the balloon to land. Once landed, everyone left the basket. John Jr and Nazut Thanked the pilot for an awesome time.

There was once a loving mule. This mule loved to dance around his mama and eat all the green grass it could see. no matter how tired it got it always knew that his mom loved him. The mule was going around and much bigger now. He loved to play and to spend time around his loving mother. However, it was getting colder and colder and the grass was no longer green and there was not a lot of food around. His mother gave him her share of the hay and the mule understood that he was truly loved and shared this with her to return that love. one day a bad man who was always angry came and took him away from his mother. This man would hardly let him eat and always worked him all day long with hardly giving him a break. The mule thought this man must not know what love is and was going to try to show this man what love is. For 3 days the mule would work and work and work. but it was never hard enough for the man wouldn't even feed him at the end of the day. The mule cried and was so very hungry and thought "how can I show this man what is love?" The man took the mule into town and piled a bunch of food in front of him to eat. there was another man there though. This man was holding a single piece of bread. At first the mule was confused with the choice. But something in that bread felt like his mothers love from a long long time ago. He was so shocked thinking how could this be? that he knelt in front of this bread he knew was the source of all love. Hoping this would show the mean man that love requires all of us to sacrifice sometimes. The man was so shocked that he knelt down in front of the bread too and he yelled with tears and joy that this must be God. For surely God must be love

Until my turn came. A pair of hands gently lifted me, and I panicked. Where were they taking me? Where was Mom? The car drove and drove, the scenery outside kept changing, the smells were different, and my heart pounded hard. When we arrived, I heard a new voice: “Wow… he’s so tiny!” “Yeah, cute, right? Don’t worry, he’ll get used to it.” “But… I’m not sure how to take care of a dog.” My breath shortened. They weren’t sure? What if they didn’t want me? At first, it was tough. They put me in a small crate that didn’t feel like home. At night, it was too quiet, and my stomach tightened with longing. I whimpered softly, hoping Mom would hear me and come… but she didn’t. During the day, they let me run in the big yard. I sniffed every corner, searching for something familiar—but everything was new. As they traveled, Damon revealed his secret. “The balance of the solar system depends on my family’s magic, but someone stole our Star Crown. Without it, I can’t keep the planets aligned forever.” “Then we’ll find it,” Chloe said. Their search led them to Saturn, where its rings were vanishing. Deep beneath a frozen lake, they uncovered the Star Crown. With Damon’s magic restored, they faced their greatest challenge. “Earth’s orbit is unstable. It’s drifting toward Venus!” Damon said. Tegan is moving interstate with her 15 year old brother, mum and dad, because they dream of living on the Sunshine Coast near the rain forest and the ocean. Tegan was 3 years old when her family moved from the Netherlands to South Australia. After 5 years of living there, are ready to finish what they started. Moving to Queensland in a tropical climate. Tegan has two guinea pigs who will join them as well. Thegan will say goodbye to friends in South Australia and will make new friends on the Sunshine Coast, where she will go to school. John Jr's Mom explained the types of hope. Material Hope, which is the sense of control when given the resources to deal with forces that affect everyday lives; Socractic Hope, which provides opportunities to question the unjust society; and Audacious Hope, which provides us strength through Christ , so we don't loose heart. The book of Isaiah in the Bible says we need to be Fearless and bold with our Audacious Hope. 5. John Jr found in the Bible the verse Romans 15:13 ~ "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." John Jr and Hopsi decided that they would always stay hopeful. They decided that they would start praying for a better tomorrow.
