Adventure Story in Lung Yeuk Tau Page 1 On a sunny morning, brothers Ming and Wah decided to visit Lung Yeuk Tau. They heard there were many mysterious legends and histories there. Page 2 The two brothers arrived at the Old Wall and saw the ancient wall and narrow gate. Ming told Wah that this place once defended against pirate invasions. Page 3 As they walked into the village, they saw villagers preparing for the Spring and Autumn Festival. Wah excitedly said, “I want to see these traditional rituals!” Page 4 Ming took Wah to the Tin Hau Temple, where a statue of Tin Hau was enshrined. They saw villagers ringing bells to pray for safety, feeling the power of faith. Page 5 Next, they arrived at the ancient well. Wah curiously asked, “How old is this well?” Ming replied, “It’s an important water source for villagers, over a hundred years old!” Page 6 They visited the Song Ling Tang Temple and admired the beautiful wood carvings and statues. Ming told Wah it was built to honor their ancestors. Page 7 The brothers ran through the fields of the village, enjoying the beauty of nature. Wah said, “The air here is so fresh; I love it!” Page 8 Finally, they sat on a hillside, watching the sunset. Ming and Wah promised to return to Lung Yeuk Tau in the future to explore more secrets!

After Mr. Naidoo's haircut, they checked on Mrs. Naidoo's phone being repaired by Muhammed, a Pakistani immigrant, but it wasn't ready. They then shopped for groceries. Finally, they bought ice cream, with Reshnee joyfully choosing strawberry, concluding their pleasant day out.

In a colorful meadow, there lived a butterfly named Thomas. Unlike the other butterflies, Thomas couldn’t fly. He watched in sadness as they fluttered freely, while his wings remained grounded. No matter how much he flapped, nothing happened. “I’ll never fly,” he thought, feeling lonely and defeated. One day, a zebra named Hank noticed Thomas sitting alone. With his bold black-and-white stripes, Hank stood out against the bright meadow. He approached Thomas with a warm smile. “Why aren’t you flying with the others?” Hank asked. Thomas sighed. “I don’t know how. I’ve tried, but my wings won’t work.” Hank chuckled softly. “Flying isn’t about waiting for something to happen. It’s already inside you—you just need to find the courage to lift your wings.” Thomas looked at his wings, doubting himself. “But what if I fail again?” Hank smiled kindly. “How about we try together? Climb onto my nose, and I’ll help you feel the wind. I’ll run and jump, and you’ll see what it’s like to catch the breeze.” Nervous but curious, Thomas crawled onto Hank’s nose. Hank began to run through the meadow, the wind rushing past them. As Hank jumped into the air, Thomas felt the wind lift his wings. For the first time, he believed he could fly. With a leap of faith, Thomas spread his wings—and to his surprise, they lifted! He soared above the meadow, feeling free and joyful. “You did it!” Hank called from below. Thomas realized that it wasn’t just his wings—it was the belief in himself that had set him free. From that day forward, Thomas flew alongside the other butterflies, no longer waiting for his chance but embracing it.

Aubree is a 4 year old girl from Oceanside, California. She lives with her mommy, daddy, and maltipoo dog named Paddington. Christmas is Aubree’s favorite time of year and she always eagerly awaits the return of her elves on “Sleigh Day,” her family’s special holiday each year on the day after Thanksgiving. Aubree’s elves are named Chippy, Snowflake, Kitty Minnie Sparkle Heart Minnie, and Stripey Blue Eyes. They return to Aubree’s house from the North Pole on the morning of Sleigh Day, arriving in a giant red and gold sleigh, pulled by a giant toy reindeer Sven (the reindeer from Frozen). Aubree’s elves always bring her some gifts on Sleigh Day, usually some Christmas books, cozy pajamas, and a few Christmas themed toys to play with throughout the season. Each night throughout the Christmas season, Aubree’s elves fly back to the North Pole, then return to her home by the morning, always hiding in a different spot. Aubree’s elves are very mischievous and she loves searching for them every morning. Each Sunday throughout the season, her elves leave her a special card or letter along with a fun gift or activity to do with her family, like tickets to see The Nutcracker or to go to Legoland. Aubree’s family loves these special days and calls them “Elf Sundays.” Aubree’s elves stay at her home longer than other children’s elves because they know she loves Christmas so much! They stay until she goes back to school, and then they fly back to the North Pole until they return on Sleigh Day the following year. When they leave, the elves always give her a special parting gift with a card, to make sure she always has special memories of that Christmas season.

That makes it non-living." Tommy picked up the stone and turned it over in his palm. "So, living things need food, water, and air to grow—like us, trees, and the ladybug!" he said. "And non-living things stay the same unless something moves or changes them," Lily added with a smile. Ella clapped her hands. "Let's go on a nature hunt! Let's find more living and non-living things!" The children ran around the park, eyes wide with excitement. "Look! A butterfly!" Lily called. "These flowers are living too!" Tommy added, crouching to observe a bright yellow daisy. "But this fallen twig is non-living now because it’s no longer growing," Ella pointed out. They laughed and shouted out their discoveries, filling the air with joy. As the sun began to set, Tommy stretched his arms. "This was so much fun! I can't wait to explore more tomorrow." Ella held up her stone and leaf. "Me too! There's so much more to discover." With happy hearts, they walked home under the twinkling stars, ready for another day of adventure.
