Janice changed into a pink waltz-length nightgown. Megan showed her how to remove her makeup and properly cleanse her face. Mom insisted that they needed to get some sleep and that they had the entire week to get know with their new sister. For Janice, sleep came easily, despite her excitement and newfound identity. She dreamed of being Mom's Christmas elf and wearing a green satin dress just like her sisters. She awoke the next morning happy and eager to face the day. The week went by quickly for the girls. Megan was Janice's primary teacher during the week but Lindsay and Kerry also helped. Janice was enjoying new persona, her sisters were enjoying having her with them. Before anyone realized it, it was Christmas Eve. Mom laid out Kerrie's and Lindsay's dresses, shoes, stockings and underwear for the next morning. Megan laid out her things without Mom's help. She and Mom came into Janice's room, Janice watched as Mom hung a lovely green satin dress trim with white fur on the door. Alligator was afraid of water and couldn't swim! Determined to get that apple, Alligator decided to ask for help. He met an agile ant, who was known for her amazing swimming skills. Ant agreed to help Alligator. She climbed onto a leaf and paddled to the apple, using her tiny legs like oars. With her teamwork and bravery, they retrieved the apple. Alligator took a big bite of the apple, and it was delicious! He thanked Ant for her help and decided to learn to swim, so he wouldn't have to rely on others in the future. Alligator and Ant became the best of friends, and they had many more exciting adventures together, both on land and in the water.

Red showed Celeste the red dunes and icy caps, and they had fun sliding down the slopes. 8. Celeste’s journey continued to the colorful rings of Saturn, where she met Saturn's Ring Guardians. 9. The Ring Guardians taught her about the planet's icy rings and let her skate on them. 10. Celeste visited a Star Nursery, a place where new stars are born, and met Starry, a baby star. 11. Starry explained the different types of stars and showed Celeste how they twinkle and shine. 12. After a day full of adventures, Celeste felt a bit sleepy. Her spaceship guided her back home, and she waved goodbye to her new friends. 13. She returned to her room just as the morning sun began to rise. Her toy spaceship was back to its original size. Celeste snuggled into bed, dreaming of her next adventure in the stars.

Mary saw this as a chance to advocate for women's rights. She shared her ideas on how to support women through the New Deal. With guidance, the New Deal began to include programs that provided jobs and resources for women.They opened up to education opportunities for young women.
