One day Sammy brought up the fact that they hadn’t gotten rain for a while. Flipp agreed but they shrugged it off and continued to play. They continued to think to themselves that it would rain but after a week they still hadn’t gotten rain. Their pond began to dry up. One day Sammy and Flipp woke up and when they walked down to their pond excited to play, they were met with a dry hole. What was once their pond was now a giant muddy hole. Sammy couldn’t believe it “what are we going to do without a pond?” he muttered. Flipp began to say, “maybe it will rain and then it will fill back up”. Sammy agreed and he and Flipp sat in their muddy hole waiting for even the slightest drop of rain. Days passed without any rain the days were filled with boredom, Sammy began to ask, “will it ever rain?” Flipp responded “it will one day we just have to be patient”. One day while Flipp was curled up and Sammy was staring at the sky, Sammy felt a small drop on his forehead. “Flipp get up I felt a drop!” he screamed, Flipp perked up and looked at the sky more drops began to fall. They both stood up and started leaping with joy as it began to rain harder and harder. They watched as their pond slowly filled back up Sammy yelled “cannon ball!” and jumped in, Flipp watched and couldn’t wait any longer and then he splashed into their pond. They both splashed each other as the rain began to fall even harder. Every day they would play in their pond, and it continued to rain every day for them and they never had to worry about a dry pond again.

In a magical forest, there was a special tree that bore leaves of every color of the rainbow. The tree was hidden deep within the forest, and only those with the purest hearts could find it. One day, a young girl named Jane, known for her kindness, stumbled upon the tree while helping an injured bird. To her surprise, the tree began to speak, telling her that each colored leaf granted a unique wish. But there was a catch—she could only choose one color. After thinking about all the things she could wish for, Jane decided to wish for the happiness of everyone in her village. As she made her wish, the leaves of the tree began to glow and spread throughout the forest, touching every plant and animal with joy. When Jane returned to her village, she found that everyone was smiling and laughing, filled with an unexplainable happiness. As Mom zipped up the back, Janice looked at her reflection in the mirror. Everything was perfect except for how her hair looked. It still looked like a boy's. She then went to her closet and removed a box. When she opened it, Janice saw that it contained a nicely styled wig. Additionally, the color matched her hair exactly. They told her how nice she looked as Janice smiled broadly. The girls spent the rest of the evening in he family room, welcoming their new sister and showing her how to do things like a girl. Janice changed into a pink waltz-length nightgown. Megan showed her how to remove her makeup and properly cleanse her face. Mom insisted that they needed to get some sleep and that they had the entire week to get know with their new sister. For Janice, sleep came easily, despite her excitement and newfound identity. She dreamed of being Mom's Christmas elf and wearing a green satin dress just like her sisters. She awoke the next morning happy and eager to face the day. The week went by quickly for the girls. Megan was Janice's primary teacher during the week but Lindsay and Kerry also helped. Janice was enjoying new persona, her sisters were enjoying having her with them. Before anyone realized it, it was Christmas Eve. Mom laid out Kerrie's and Lindsay's dresses, shoes, stockings and underwear for the next morning. Megan laid out her things without Mom's help. She and Mom came into Janice's room, Janice watched as Mom hung a lovely green satin dress trim with white fur on the door. Megan lay out a satin training bra, satin panties, garter belt, white stockings, white heels. She smiled at Janice saying both of them would be wearing their first pair of heels tomorrow.
