The birds are singing!” her father said. Thazkie closed her eyes and listened carefully. “It sounds so peaceful,” she whispered. Her father nodded and explained, “Allah gave each creature a special way to praise Him. The birds sing, and the trees grow tall and strong. Each one is special in its own way.” As they reached the edge of the lake, Thazkie saw fish swimming in the clear water. They looked so happy and free! “Papa, why did Allah make so many different animals?” she asked. Her father replied, “Allah created every animal, plant, and human with a purpose. Each one is a sign of His love and creativity.” On their way home, Thazkie thought about all the amazing things she saw. She felt grateful for the beautiful world Allah had created. “I want to thank Allah for all these wonderful things,” she said. Her father smiled and held her hand. “That’s right, Thazkie. We can thank Allah every day by appreciating His creations and taking care of them.” And from that day on, Thazkie remembered to look around her and say a little “thank you” to Allah whenever she saw something beautiful.

So one day, along with her mom, Emma goes to the local foodbank that is run by Feed Scarborough. At the foodbank, while Emma was waiting in one corner reading some fun books, while her mom was shopping at the foodbank, Emma saw a racoon walking around, playing with an apple. Emma started talking with the Racoon. Racoon told Emma that his name is Dignity, and the apple is his friend, named Hope. Dignity told emma all about food insecurity in our community and that she is not the only one who comes to the foodbank. Feed Scarborough's foodbanks are set up like a grocery store, so her mom can pick and choose the food that Emma likes. Dignity also told Emma about so many children, who are not having enough food to eat nowadays as times are tough. Dignity told Emma that better days are coming soon as Toronto's Mayor and Canada's Prime Minister is working together to have better food in school so no children need to study in empty stomach. As dignity was telling Emma these stories, suddenly Emma heard her Mom's voice, calling out to her. As she turned towards the door, she saw her mom asking her to come with her so they can leave the foodbank. As Emma turned back, Dignity and Hope was nowhere to be seen. Was Dignity and Hope real? Were they really there telling Emma the story or were they franction of her imagination, as on the wall, there was a poster of Dignity and Hope (which are the mascots of Feed Scarborough.

Adventures by the Sea

This story is about Viaana, Misha, Aarav, and Aum, who worked together to help nature! Viaana and her friends loved to play outside. One sunny morning, they went to the park and saw something that made them sad. The big, old tree was surrounded by trash! “We must help!” said Viaana. Misha said, “The tree looks so sad with all the trash around it. Let’s clean it up!” Aarav smiled and said, “We can do it! We just need to believe in ourselves.” The friends held hands and made a plan. Aum said, “We may not be able to clean everything at once, but we will start small. Every piece of trash we pick up is one step closer to helping the tree!” They all cheered, ready to begin. Together, they picked up the trash one piece at a time. Misha found a plastic bottle, Aarav picked up a wrapper, and Viaana cleaned around the tree roots. It was hard work, but they didn’t give up! Soon, the friends saw an older lady walking by. “You’re doing a great job, kids!” she said. “I’ll help too!” She grabbed a trash bag and joined them. The tree looked even happier now! As the day went on, more people joined in. Soon, everyone was helping. Some brought brooms, others brought gloves. Even the birds seemed to sing louder as the park became cleaner. After hours of working together, the park was clean! The tree now stood tall and proud, with no trash around it. “We did it!” said Aum. “When we help others, we can do anything!” The friends felt proud of their hard work. “When we work together, we can do great things,” said Viaana. “We’ll always help others!” The tree swayed in the breeze, happy with its new clean home. From that day on, Viaana and her friends promised to always help others. They learned that with willpower, teamwork, and kindness, they could do anything, no matter how big or small!

Toys are made for you to have fun and to help you to learn. But we don’t need too many toys, because we don’t need to have too much material possession. What we truly need to have is to have God in our heart. We should think of poor kids who don’t have many toys and we should appreciate our toys. We thanks God for giving us so much! And we ask God to help us be closer to Him everyday more than we need to have many toys.
