Amita comes from a family in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, and was born into a close-knit joint family. Her childhood was filled with joy, as she was the first child and received abundant love and pampering from her parents and grandparents. In her family, women from her mother’s generation had limited exposure to education and job opportunities. However, her family took a different approach for her generation where they were always encouraged to pursue their studies. Her mother hoped she would become a doctor, but her passion lay in mathematics, and she aspired to pursue engineering. Despite her mother’s initial reservations about engineering being a suitable path for a girl, she managed to convince her parents. However, challenges remained. Her town had only one science college for girls, and unfortunately, mathematics wasn’t offered there. Undeterred, she persuaded the school to approve math as a subject, and it was heartening to see a few of her friends choose the same path. When everything seemed to be going well, and she was at a crucial point in choosing my career, she faced medical emergencies and underwent multiple surgeries. It took nearly two years to return to normal life, which unfortunately meant she couldn’t attend the engineering college she had hoped for. Disappointment weighed heavily, but she heeded her father’s advice. She pursued her graduation in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and secured the second-highest rank in college. Later, she completed her master’s and married, relocating to Pune. There, she joined L&T Infotech.

Julie woke up early Monday morning, ready for first grade. As she got ready for school, she noticed something strange happening to her body. She felt different, and it made her uncomfortable. Her clothes did not fit her like they did the day before. Her body started to smell different. She didn't understand what was happening to her. Feeling alone and confused, she didn't want to go to school. Tears welled up in her eyes as she begged to stay home. However, as Julie slowly walked towards her classroom, she spotted something bright on the ground. It was an orange glitter ball, and she felt a sense of wonder and joy as she picked it up. Holding onto her new found treasure tightly, she entered the classroom. Throughout the morning, Julie was distracted by the ball, finding comfort in its sparkle whenever she felt lost or confused about her changing body. But during Grammar, she accidentally dropped the ball, and it rolled away where she couldn't reach it. Julie felt her heart sink, knowing she had lost her special prize. She couldn't bring herself to tell anyone about it, as it was her secret source of happiness and comfort. The teacher noticed Julie's tears and reminded her that she was special and did not need a ball to remind her of that and encouraged her to pay attention in class the next day. Ahana asked both the little girls to please stop arguing, she crouched down to Helena and asked “Doesn’t Teddify have a jumper?” “Yes, she does, sorry” said Helena glumly walking back to the house. Ahana explained how Teddify was missing and how they searched for her everywhere the whole morning. “Mum, have you seen Teddify?” the girls asked. “Sorry no I have been busy doing laundry this morning” replied mum. Hearing this, Ahana’s face lit up “Follow me Helena” she cried. Five seconds later they were ripping clothes out of the basket and at the bottom they found a clean and shiny Teddify.
