2nd Grade Version To understand why the American Revolution happened, we need to look back at the years from 1754 to 1763. During this time, the British and the French were fighting in a war on land that is now part of the United States. This war is called the French and Indian War. The British wanted to control more land, and the French wanted to keep their land. Many Native Americans chose to help either the British or the French during this war. In 1759, British soldiers went to a city called Québec in Canada and won a big battle there. They took over another city called Montréal the next year. After that, there weren't many big battles left between the British and the French in North America. The fighting mostly stopped by 1763 when a peace agreement called the Treaty of Paris was signed. Why did the British start taxing the colonists, and why did this make them mad? The British government made laws and taxes that affected the colonists. Many colonists felt proud to be British, but they believed they had rights that the king should protect. They didn't like the Stamp Act, which was a new tax. In Virginia, some leaders, called the House of Burgesses, said that the British Parliament shouldn’t be taxing them. In 1765, the prime minister of Britain was George Grenville. He created the Stamp Act because he needed money to pay for British soldiers in North America. He thought the colonists should help pay for these soldiers who were protecting them. At first, the British leaders were surprised by how upset the colonists were. Grenville did not listen to their complaints and was eventually replaced in 1766. A leader named George Washington fought in the French and Indian War along with the British. He helped lead soldiers against the French. He became a well-known leader and was even elected to help make laws in Virginia.

The boy goes through his hero's journey: he learns how to become a winner on his way. Going through various tests that the Snake arranges for him, the boy reveals his strengths and weaknesses and qualities, learns to control them. As a result, he must reveal his personal superpower and perform a real feat-deed with the help of this power. On the Path, he is guided by his main Patron: the Goddess Nuiva (the creator of people). 1. One sunny day, Dolphin, Turtle, Clownfish, and Starfish were playing hide and seek in the ocean. Starfish was the seeker, and they all hid in different places. Starfish found Turtle and Clownfish quickly, but the Dolphin was nowhere to be seen! 2. Dolphin couldn’t be found anywhere! The friends began to worry. Just as they were about to give up, a pufferfish named Nabil swam over, out of breath. “I saw a whale near Dolphin!” Nabil said. “I think the whale might have eaten him!” 3. The friends swam quickly to where Nabil had seen Dolphin. To their surprise, they found Dolphin chatting happily with a baby whale. Scene 5: Suddenly, Starfish felt dizzy and fainted from the pollution in the water. “Starfish! Wake up!” cried Turtle, Clownfish, Dolphin, and the baby whale. “I know a healer who can help!” Clownfish said. “Let’s go to their house!” Scene 6: The friends swam quickly to the healer’s house. “Hello, are you home?” they called. The healer opened the door. “What’s wrong, little ones?” he asked kindly. “Please help! Starfish is poisoned from the plastic in the ocean,” said Turtle. The healer let them in and treated Starfish, who soon woke up. “Thank you for saving me,” Starfish said gratefully. The healer said, “This is happening because people are careless. They throw trash everywhere without thinking about the consequences. The ocean is polluted, coral reefs are dying, and fish are losing their homes. If people don’t change, they will hurt themselves too.” Scene 7: As they swam back home, they were amazed to see that the ocean was clean again! The humans had worked together to pick up the trash and clean the ocean! “Wow, the ocean is beautiful again!” Dolphin exclaimed. “There are still humans who care about the environment,” Clownfish said happily. “Thank you, kind humans!” they all cheered. And from that day on, the ocean stayed clean and beautiful!

Once upon a time, in a village nestled at the foot of a great mountain named 山·, there lived two siblings: 火 (which means "fire") and 水 (which means "water"). 火 was full of energy and always rushing into things, while 水 was calm, patient, and thoughtful. One summer, the village faced a terrible drought. The rivers dried up, the crops turned brown, and the villagers didn’t know what to do. 火, with his fiery spirit, said, “I’ll climb 山 and find a way to fix this!” 水, always the voice of reason, said, “I’ll come with you. We’ll solve this together.” As they climbed the mountain, the air grew warmer, and the ground rumbled softly. At the top, they found a glowing crater filled with fiery embers. 火 picked up a burning rock and said, “Look! The mountain’s fire! Maybe we can use it to help the village!” But 水 shook her head. “Fire alone won’t solve everything. We need water too.” Suddenly, the ground shook, and the mountain began to rumble. 火 dropped the rock, and 水 closed her eyes, whispering, “Please, 山, help us.” To their surprise, the mountain listened. A cool spring bubbled up from the ground, calming the rumbling and sending fresh water down the mountain. The water flowed into the village, filling the rivers and bringing life back to the plants. The villagers cheered, and 火 realized that his fiery energy worked best when balanced with 水’s calm wisdom. Together, they had helped the mountain and saved the village.
